NEWS: Bomb threats and protests cancel Marilyn Manson shows

MarilynMansonDC021213Marilyn Manson‘s Russian tour hasn’t been going so well after bomb threats forced him to cancel his performance at one show and an avid protest led to the other being scrapped.

The industrial rock shock rocker from Canton, Ohio was set to perform at two dates in Moscow and Novosibirsk on the 27th and 29th June 2014.

He and his band were about to take the stage at Park Live Festival on the 27th but due to a bomb threat, their set was cancelled.

The show scheduled to be taking place in Russia’s third largest city Novosibirsk at the Sibir Sport Palace, has been recently cancelled by authorities there, after 400 Orthodox Christian protesters took to the streets.

The protesters have allegedly been accusing Manson of “being a threat to security” and of “peddling sexual perversity”.

Marilyn Manson is set to come back to the UK to be in the Alt Fest line-up on the 16th August, playing alongside other acts including Gary Numan and Fearless Vampire Killers.
