The Knighthood of Ozz has also got the support of the Black Sabbath frontman’s daughter Kelly who tweeted, “This really needs to happen.”
Helen explained “Our campaign has reached Buckingham Palace, as a friend of mine had sent off letters explaining about our battle for Ozzy‘s knighthood — and they have replied positively.” She added that she was hoping to reach 5,000 signatures in time for Sabbath’s performance in London’s Hyde Park July 4th.
Ozzy is one of England’s most recognizable figures who, along with Black Sabbath, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
Black Sabbath released their first studio album in 35 years last year titled “13” which was their first album chart topper in the US and first in the U.K since 1971.
